King Midas loved gold above all else and was granted a wish: everything he touched would turn to gold.
At first he was delighted — flowers, chairs and even his food shimmered under his fingers.
Then he hugged his daughter, and she froze into a golden statue. Midas begged for the wish to be undone and learned what he truly loved.
